Sept 24 – Six Days of Creation

September 16, 2008 · 1 Comment

Wed 24th Sept, 2008, we will be at Troy & Jody’s place,  watching this video:

http://www.answersingenesis.org/PublicStore/product/Six-Days-of-Creation-The,4773,229.aspx

Titled, The Six Days of Creation: A Young Earth is Not the Issue, by Ken Ham, this “layman” level video discusses the age of the earth. Also includes a Silly Song, but not (alas) by Larry.

No homework in advance of this meeting, but come prepared to take notes during the video to discuss both the content, the strategy, and the presentation.

Remember, this is not at our usual location. Contact someone from the group if you aren’t sure where we are meeting.

During our post-movie discussion, Jeff mentioned some very interesting exegetical material he heard recently on Wm. L. Craig’s podcast here:

What Jeff remembers is some solid Biblical study which seems to permit an “old-earth” creationist view (without compromising Biblical authority). The idea came up because, in the video we watched, Ken Ham is very adamant that the natural or obvious way to read Gen 1 – 3 (or even 1-11) is the only reading which maintains the authoritative truth of Scripture.

So, we’re posting this link to the Reasonable Faith podcast site, special emphasis on the “Doctrine of Creation” series from Sept 2008.

We had a great discussion and also prayer time. Looking forward to the next one!
