This blog will be the online home of our study group into the evidence-based practice of our Christian faith. Folks are always welcome to drop by for just the one meeting, or now and then. Just please take a look at our reading or topic in advance.
Our planned meeting dates are the first & third Wednesdays of each month at 7:00 pm.
The bible passage for our group is:
Job 12:7-11 “But ask the animals, now, and they shall teach you; The birds of the sky, and they shall tell you.
Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach you; The fish of the sea shall declare to you.
Who doesn’t know that in all these, The hand of Yahweh has done this,
In whose hand is the life of every living thing, The breath of all mankind?
Doesn’t the ear try words, Even as the palate tastes its food?
Just as our mouths test whether food is good or bad by tasting and evaluating, so we as a group would like to check out the words we hear and read.
Readings will be determined by the consensus of the group. Check the recent postings (on the right) for upcoming dates & readings. Also see the “Suggestions” page (top) for an outline of what types of material we do read.
